Why web hosting matters for contractors.

01
⏱️

Site down means leads gone

Every minute your site is down, somebody is calling the next contractor on the list. Cheap hosting goes down. We don't.

02
🔐

SSL, security, all included

SSL is required by Google now. Security patches, daily backups, and DDoS protection are part of every plan. No add-ons. No hidden fees.

Built on the network big sites use

Your site lives on Vercel's edge network, the same one Notion, TikTok, and Hashnode use. Loads fast everywhere. Doesn't break when you get a rush.

Most contractors are paying for hosting that's holding their site back.

Web hosting sounds like the boring part of running a website. It's actually one of the most important. The wrong hosting makes your site slow, makes Google rank you lower, gets your site hacked, and goes down at the worst possible moments. We've taken over more than a few contractor sites that were on a $4-a-month GoDaddy plan, and the first thing we always notice is how much faster the site gets the moment we move it.

Most cheap hosting puts your site on a shared server with hundreds or thousands of other sites. If one of those sites gets a traffic spike or gets hacked, yours suffers. The 'unlimited' plans usually aren't, and when you actually need the resources you find out the hard way. We don't do shared hosting. Every contractor we host gets their own slice of a real cloud network, with the speed and security to match.

And we handle everything that goes with it. SSL renewal so your site doesn't say 'not secure' to your customers. Daily backups so a bad update or a hack doesn't lose your data. Domain renewal reminders so you don't accidentally lose the URL you've been ranking for years. None of it is your problem. You just answer the phone and book the jobs.

What good web hosting looks like.

01

Why contractor sites need different hosting than blogs

Most cheap hosting is built for blogs and brochure sites. A contractor website does more. It captures leads in real time, sends quotes, collects payments, and tracks job status. That requires actual server infrastructure, not the bargain bin. Cheap hosting saves you fifteen bucks a month and costs you one missed lead per month, which is a way worse trade.

02

What hosting actually means (no jargon)

Hosting is just the computer that serves your website to visitors. When someone types your domain, your hosting server hands them the page. Speed of that handoff, security of that server, and how it holds up under traffic, that's hosting. Cheap hosting is a slow, crowded, vulnerable computer. Good hosting is a fast, isolated, hardened one.

03

Uptime, speed, and what happens when your site goes down

Our uptime target is 99.9%. That's about 8 hours of downtime per year, total. Most cheap hosts hit 95-98% which sounds close but is actually 100+ hours per year. Every hour your site is dark is leads going to your competitors. We monitor every site continuously and we know about issues before you do. Vast majority of the time, it's fixed before you'd have noticed.

04

Security and SSL (yes, you need it)

Google now flags any site without SSL as 'not secure' in the address bar. Customers see that warning and bail. SSL is included with every plan. Beyond SSL, we handle DDoS protection, automatic security patches, and isolation so a problem on one tenant's site can't bleed into yours. We've never been hacked. We've taken over plenty of sites that have.

05

What's included with our hosting

Hosting, SSL, daily backups, security patches, DDoS protection, domain management, email forwarding, monitoring, and unlimited bandwidth. There are no 'unlimited up to a point' tricks. There are no upsells when you grow. Your contractor business is not going to outgrow our hosting.

06

Switching from GoDaddy or Bluehost without losing leads

We migrate sites all the time. The trick is doing it without breaking your search rankings or losing any of the leads in flight. We line up the new hosting first, test it on a staging URL, then switch the DNS at a low-traffic time. Most migrations are invisible to your customers. Search rankings stay put because we keep your URL structure and content the same. The whole process takes about a week start to finish.

Everything included in every plan.

Professional website on your own domain
Lead capture forms that feed your dashboard
Digital agreements with e-signatures
Job and lead tracking dashboard
Hosting and maintenance handled for you
Mobile-friendly design
Fast load times
Ongoing support

Questions contractors ask us.

How much does hosting cost for a contractor site?

Hosting is included in our monthly plan, which starts at $149 a month. That covers hosting, the website itself, the dashboard, lead capture, quotes, and ongoing changes. Most contractors pay $20 to $50 a month for just hosting elsewhere, plus a separate maintenance fee, plus security plugins. Once you total it up, we usually come out cheaper.

Can you take over hosting for my existing site?

Sometimes. If your site is on WordPress or a page builder, we'd usually rebuild it instead of hosting it as-is, because the underlying tech is the actual problem. If your site is custom-built and just on bad hosting, we can move it. Either way, we'll do an audit and tell you the honest answer.

What if my site goes down on a Sunday?

Our infrastructure is monitored 24/7. We get pinged before you do, and most issues are resolved automatically. For anything that needs a human, we're on it within minutes. You won't get a 'sorry, our team is offline until Monday' email.

Do you handle domain renewals?

Yes. We'll set you up with us as the registrar, or we can manage your existing registrar for you. Either way, you'll never lose a domain to forgetting to renew. We track every domain we manage and renew before expiration.

Will switching hosts hurt my Google ranking?

Done right, it doesn't. We preserve your URL structure, your content, your meta tags, and we set up redirects for anything that has to move. Google will recrawl within a few days and your rankings stay put. Done wrong, switching hosts can tank a site for a month. We do it right because we do it all the time.

What if I get a traffic spike from going viral on TikTok or Facebook?

You're fine. Vercel's edge network handles traffic spikes automatically. We've had clients get featured on local news and not blink. Cheap hosting would have crashed.

Do you provide email hosting too?

We don't host your inbox, but we set up email forwarding so messages to youremail@yourcompany.com land in your existing Gmail or Outlook. Most contractors don't need a separate email host, just professional addresses pointing at the inbox they already use.
